The principals of the company have over 150 years’ experience working with local, state, federal and international government and private sector clients on energy and environment-related projects, with our focus on renewable energy applications and clean fuels.

CLEAN POWER’s primary interest is the widespread demonstration and deployment of hydrogen fuels — production, distribution and end-use — and integrated, high-efficiency power system technologies.

Advocacy

CLEAN POWER ENGINERING COMPANY works with industry, academia, all levels of government, including regulatory and resource management agencies, and civil society, to advocate policies and appropriations for the implementation of innovative technologies that are more efficient, reduce pollution, protect public health and safety, and enhance management and conservation of natural resources.

For private sector and government clients, CLEAN POWER provides services to assist them in integrating innovative technologies and management approaches into their practices, to be more cost-efficient, pollution-free and sustainable.

CLEAN POWER principals have also established high levels of credibility for advocacy work through their active participation on the boards and committees of various national and state environmental, public health, safety, and consumer protection organizations. These include the Clean Fuel Florida Advisory Board, the Gold Coast Clean Cities Coalition, the Energy Advisory Committee of the Governor’s Commission for a Sustainable South Florida, the ISO TC197 for Hydrogen Energy Systems, and the Energy Committee of the Florida Engineering Society.

Analysis and Validation

CLEAN POWER ENGINEERING COMPANY considers transitional processes as fundamental tenets of the concept of sustainable development. With this in mind, our primary focus involves planning for transition from the fossil and nuclear energy world of today to a sustainable world tomorrow.

CLEAN POWER offers transition-planning services for the deployment of clean energy technologies covering all investment and life-cycle time frames—from the most distant to the present.

CLEAN POWER evaluates and documents energy processes, and system performance using various analytical tools and indicators. For example, we can estimate, monitor and validate life-cycle releases of criteria polllutants and greenhouse gases. Project Planning

CLEAN POWER works with clients to plan and implement innovative alternative energy projects providing fuel, electricity, heat, transportation or building space conditioning.

Our project development services cover all applications from distributed energy systems for stationary loads, to alternative transportation fuels and fully integrated combined heat/power building/transportation systems.

We work closely with manufacturers and governmental agencies to define regulatory requirements, identify processes, and devlop policies for building tomorrow’s projects, those requiring “new” rules, codes and standards. We also help government to “lead by example” by developing and evaluating alternative solutions to achieve environmental and energy efficiency goals and objectives.

CLEAN POWER works closely with equipment manufacturers, architects, system designers, urban planners and the financial community to bring promising technologies into widespread commercial use. The major focus is renewable electricity and fuels—especially hydrogen, biogas (methane), wind, ocean currents, and solar photovoltaics. Our projects recover and convert biomass, organic waste and biogas into value-added commodities such as electrical energy, liquid methane, liquid carbon dioxide, compost and fertilizer.

Design, Construction and Project Management

CLEAN POWER ENGINEERING COMPANY offers civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, design, and construction management services for installation and start-up of facilities at government, agricultural, commercial/industrial, institutional, retail and residential sites.

These services cover a wide variety of applications ranging from energy supply, electricity, heat, transportation, building space conditioning, environmental remediation, wastewater, water, solid waste, and hazardous material management projects.

The constructed-value of projects ranges in size from $50,000 environmental cleanups to multimillion-dollar public works projects and industrial facilities.

Project Funding

CLEAN POWER ENGINEERING COMPANY works with federal, state, regional and local governments to obtain major programmatic grants, cooperative agreements, Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grants, and other sources of financial support for research, development, demonstration, and deployment of innovative technologies.
